These are a few of our favorites:
Rock n Java (little waterfront cafe) - You can park in garage at Mega and cross the street, turn right, and walk north, not far.
Kinta (my favorite restaurant on the island) - This is the only one I recommend making a reservation. Request outside seating in the garden area. It's located on 5 between 2 and 4. Directions: At the second light (at Margaritaville) turn Right. Go 2 blocks, turn Left on 10. Continue north on 10 ... one block after a big tope (speed bump/walking path), turn Left on 2. One block, turn Right on 5. Halfway up the block, on right side, blue wall where we picked up your rental car, park in that lot. (8 pesos/hour) Kinta is directly across the street.
Carlos n Charlies - fun place... good food.... balloon hats. :-) Look/ask for Kiwi. (He's usually NOT there on Sundays tho') After your meal, he'll come sit at your table and do card tricks. Amazing! CnC's is located on Melgar (the waterfront street), just north of the overhead walking bridge. Directions: At the second light (at Margaritaville) turn Right. Go 2 blocks, turn Left on 10. Only a few blocks, turn Left on 7. Straight thru one stop sign (crossing 5), then halfway down the block, look for opening in long white wall on the left..... parking lot (free one). You can park anywhere in there. Walk thru the shopping mall entrance towards the waterfront.
Sorrisi - Great Italian food. Nice place, too. Directions: At the second light (you know where by now), turn Right. Go 2 blocks, turn Left on 10. Turn Left on 3. Straight thru one stop sign. Then about halfway on next block, there's a parking lot on the right side. (Sorrisi's lot) Take your parking ticket in to be stamped/marked by Sorrisi server. Restaurant is across the street.
LaCocay – Mediterranean food. Nice ambiance indoor seating. (Outside seating is by the kitchen service counter.) Directions: North on Melgar, turn Right on 8. Straight thru 2 stop signs, on Right between 10 and 15.
Prima – Known for their pastas, steaks and seafood. Penthouse floor of condo building on the water. Directions: North on Melgar….. easiest to park in the Chedraui lot, walk across street and north a little. There’s always a staff member standing at the elevator entrance on the sidewalk.
Guido’s – Great Italian, Mexican and fish. On Melgar, opposite side of road from water. Very nice outdoor seating area. Located on Melgar between 6 and 8. You can park on Melgar …. wherever you can find a spot. J
LaChoza – Mexican (local family-owned). They always have wonderful fresh fish, too. Located on 10 between Rosado Salas and 3.
